Pleasant Valley High School Instrumental Music Program
Pleasant Valley High School Offers four distinct instrumental music programs. Here are brief descriptions of each. Click the link for each for more information.
Concert Band: For freshmen and 10th-12th grade students who play (or would like to learn to play) an instrument. No audition required. Performs several concerts a year, and joins with the Symphonic and Wind Ensembles to form the marching band.
Symphonic Band: For 10th-12 grade instrumental music students. By Audition. Performs several concerts a year, and joins with the Wind Ensemble and Concert Bands to form the marching band.
Wind Ensemble: For instrumental music students of an advanced level. By Audition Only. Performs several concerts a year, and joins with the Symphonic and Concert Bands to form the marching band.
Marching Band: Combination of the all Bands. Performs at many school and community functions.
Jazz: For students who would like to play jazz. Includes Jazz I (by audition), Jazz II, and many small jazz combos. Students must be enrolled in band to participate. Meets 0 period, 6:30am-7:35am.
